Invisible ink labels allow products to be marked with security codes through the use of invisible inks, which can be read with the use of a Wood’s lamp (or “black light”). In this way, procedures can be optimised without resorting to branding that might stay on the product.
Also, if the applicator machines are equipped with a Wood’s lamp, they can effectively detect the presence of the label before or after labelling, making labelling quicker and preventing some packages from being unlabelled.
